54...That's how many days until we hit the road. We have been planning our 25th anniversary trip for years. Driving Route 66. Taking in the USofA one mile at a time...turn by turn, photo-op by photo-op.
While Route 66 starts at a little diner in downtown Chicago, we have opted to begin in St. Louis and miss the Illinois section of the Mother Road. I know the purists would frown on that but it works for us.
Once we get started, we will update, at least daily, sometimes more than that with pictures and stories of our journey. From now until then, it will be sparce. I will give you the story of our car and other preps later.
As for now, we're ready to go, just need to pack but the duffle bags are already out.
